YOVCHEV, Nikolay Yovchev Nikolaev (1890-1957). Born in 1890 in the town of Shumen. Orphaned – without a father from early childhood. His mother was a maid – a nurse in the health clinic in Shumen. He graduated from the Art Academy in Sofia, supported by his mother and his brother Gercho, who worked as a carpenter. He taught in Shumen at the Girls’ High School and for a long time until his retirement – at the Institute for Junior High School Teachers in the same city. Died on 19.12.1957 in Sofia.
