Milko Bozhkov (1953). Born on March 3, 1953 in the Veliko Tarnovo village of Resen. In 1972 he graduated from the Art High School in Sofia. In 1978 he graduated from the “Nikolai Pavlovich” Higher Institute of Fine Arts, in the “Painting” class of Dobri Dobrev. There are over 80 solo exhibitions. Participated in over 100 general art exhibitions for painting or graphics in Bulgaria and abroad. His works are owned by the Library of Congress in the USA, the National Library of France, the Czech National Gallery and private collections abroad. He is a winner of painting awards, among them are the National Painting Award “Zahari Zograf” (2002 and the Annual National Painting Award “Vladimir Dimitov – Master”. In 2016, he was awarded the Order of “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” first degree. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
