Evgenia Ilieva Lepavtsova (1895-1981). Painter, teacher, artist at the National Ethnographic Museum. Born in Stara Zagora. Graduated “Painting” at the Art Academy under Prof. Iv. Mrkvichka and Prof. St. Ivanov. In the 1940s, he was an artist at the National Ethnographic Museum in Sofia. He mainly paints watercolors of Bulgarian costumes, live models or in nature. He also creates many sketches, sketches, paintings with everyday subjects – compositions of high documentary and scientific value. The artist was awarded by the Ministry of Information and Arts for her drawings in the NEM exhibition “Bulgarian Folk Costumes” (1946)
