Boris Antonov MITOV was born on January 11, 1891 in Varna. He died on July 6, 1963 in Sofia. He completed (1910-1911) the general course of the Art Industrial School in Sofia. He went to Paris, where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. He returned to our country and completed his education in 1915, under Prof. Ivan Mrkvichka. Teacher (1924-1929) and professor (1929-1959) of Drawing and Painting at the Art Academy, Sofia. During the First World War, Boris Mitov was a military artist (1915-1918). Boris Mitov is among the brightest portrait painters of our country, he paints images of prominent cultural and public figures.
