Biographical data about the author

Barakov, Vasil Hristov. Born on September 4, 1902, Kazanlak, died on November 27, 1991, Sofia. He is a painter, one of the Baratsite group (Together with David Perets and Zlatyu Boyadzhiev), a master of the industrial landscape. In a later stage, he worked in an impressionistic spirit. He studied Painting at the Art Academy in Sofia under Prof. Tseno Todorov and Prof. Stefan Ivanov. He graduated in 1937 under Prof. Nikola Ganushev. Decorator at the Plovdiv Drama Theater (1940-1945). After 1950 he lived and worked in Sofia.
