Biographical data about the author

KULEV, Valentin Karolinov Kulev (April 17, 1949). Born in Dobrich. In 1977, he finished mural painting under Prof. M. Ganovski at the Academy of Arts. Member of the SBH. He works in the field of decorative-monumental painting. His frescoes can be found in Sofia, Preslav, Varbitsa, Smyadovo, Targovishte, Shumen and Ahtopol. Inscribes the chapels “St. Peter the Apostle” and “St. Ilia” in Shumen. He works in the field of graphics, painting, small plastic and icon painting. Participated in international exhibitions and biennales – Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Romania. Participates in national and local exhibitions, has 18 solo exhibitions. Docent of painting at “Ep. Konstantin Preslavski” School of Art. In 1979, he received an award from the Ministry of National Defense for the “Ivaylo” mural. Winner of the Shumen Prize – 1982, 1983, 1997. He graduated in theology in 2007 at the “Ep. Konstantin Preslavski”.
