Biographical data about the author

Balareva, Vaska Popova. Born on 04/07/1902. in the city of Ruse. In 1927, he graduated from the Sofia Academy in the class of Prof. Nikola Marinov. After a general art exhibition, the critics imposed it as a masterful portrait. In 1929, he went to Italy, where he enrolled to study at the Art Academy in Rome under Prof. Umberto Coromaldi, got to know mainly Italian painting, successfully graduated from the Rome Academy in 1930. He returned to Bulgaria. At a later stage, he became one of the pioneers in the artistic processing of leather. He rested in 1979.
