Biographical data about the author

Sotirov, Stoyan Birov Born on 11.05.1903, village of Gradevo Blagoevgradsko – died on 18.01.1984. Sofia. In 1919 he entered the Drawing School in Sofia and continued his higher education at the Academy of Arts, where from 1924 to 1928 he studied painting with Prof. Dimitar Gyudzhenov and Prof. Stefan Ivanov. His fellow student is Dechko Uzunov. He works in the field of portraiture, figural composition, still life, graphics and posters.
