Galin Malakchiev (1931-1987), “Pegasus”

MALAKCHIEV, Galin Hristov Malakchiev Born on November 20, 1931 in Ruse in the family of a cavalry officer. From 1954, he studied at VIII “Nikolay Pavlovich”, initially under Assoc. Prof. Mihail Kats until 1957, then continued and completed Sculpture under Prof. Lyubomir Dalchev in 1961. He worked on easel and monumental sculpture and stained glass. Since 1962, he regularly participated in the general art exhibitions of the SBH and in representative exhibitions of Bulgarian art abroad. Takes part in OHI “Malka plastika”. Since 1973, Malakchiev has lived and worked in the village of Batulia. Died April 17, 1987.
