Kavrakov, Yanaki Ivanov. Born on February 26, 1945, Aytos – died on January 31, 2002. In 1968, he entered the Academy of Arts, studied painting in the studio of Prof. Petar Mihailov. After graduating from the Academy in 1973, he was appointed a teacher at the Kazanlak Art High School. In 1978, Yanaki Kavrakov settled in Stara Zagora. He was appointed curator of the “Painting” department at the Art Gallery. He established himself as one of the most active and charming figures in the Stara Zagorje guild of artists. In 1987, he joined the School of Fine Arts at the “Rodina” community center as a teacher. Converts an old stone house in the village of Zmeevo into a studio. Retired in 2002.
