Sokerov, Teofan Nenkov(1943-2020). Teofan Sokerov was born on May 3, 1943 in the town of Lovech. In 1969, he graduated from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, majoring in Painting under Prof. Petar Mihailov. From 1971 to 1982, he was the chairman of the Union of Artists in Lovech. Since 1994, he has been a professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. He has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions. He is the author of numerous easels and monumental works, including: The artistic layout and murals in the Patriarchal Church, Tsarevets (completed 1985), the memorial complex on Mount Buzludzha, the National Museum “Land and People” (Sofia), National Palace of Culture, Mosaic panels in the Museum ” Vasil Levski” and others. Rested on 08.01.2020 in Sofia.
