Biographical data about the author

IGNATOVA, Velislava Ilieva Ignatova (17.І.1902-1989). Born in Vidin in a craftsman’s family. In 1925, he graduated from the Art Academy, majoring in painting under Prof. Nikola Marinov. Long-time teacher of drawing. Participates in all exhibitions in the city. Member of SBH-group of Shumen artists. She has participated in National Exhibitions since 1945. Her first painting exhibition was held after her death in 1989 in HG – Shumen, carried out with the help of her husband. In 2012 HG “Elena Karamihailova” Shumen organized a jubilee exhibition “110 years of the birth of Velislava Ignatova” accompanied by a catalog.
