Biographical data about the author

SLAVCHEV, Sava Yordanov Slavchev (SAVELA) – (6.X.1902-1987). Born in Popovo. He graduated from the Art Academy, majoring in painting under Dimitar Gyudzhenov. He graduated from a four-year theater school at the National Theater. One of the founders of the Youth Theater in 1929. He worked as an actor, director. Teacher at the Teacher’s Institute in Shumen (1962-1965). Member of the “Contemporary Art” Society and the SBH. He participated in national exhibitions of teacher-artists, in general art exhibitions, held 7 solo exhibitions in Popovo, Shumen.
