VICHEV, Vladimir Dimitrov Vichev (17.XI.1917-1979. Born in Shumen in a family of teachers. His father, Dimitar Vichev, was an artist. After graduating from the Men’s High School in Shumen, he was a student at the Academy of Arts in Budapest (1936-1942). In 1942, he was an intern at the Third Men’s High School in Sofia. He took part in the Patriotic War. From 1946 to 1955, he worked in the community center “Dobri Voynikov”, where he made an art collection, which became the basis of the fund of the Art Gallery in Shumen.
