Biographical data about the author

Pironkov, Encho Stoev. Born on 09.11.1932, village of Rozovets Plovdiv. He graduated from high school in Plovdiv in 1952. There is no artistic education, “with an original artistic talent”. He became famous in 1961, when his paintings were shown at the First National Youth Exhibition in Sofia. Pironkov is one of the artists from the so-called “Plovdiv School of the 1960s”. His works are saturated with lyricism and emotionality. Pironkov also works in the field of applied monumental art and stage decoration.
