Atanas Hristov Zgalevski – Zgala. Born on 24.10.1940, Plovdiv, died in 2008 in New York. Painter, artist and carver from the Plovdiv group, of which he was the leader for several years. Long-time stage designer of the Plovdiv Puppet Theater. His merits in rescuing and preserving the ancient mosaics from the archaeological excavations in the center of Plovdiv are significant.
