Baev, Georgi Dimitrov. Born on November 9, 1924, Burgas – died in 2007. In 1949, he graduated from the art academy in Sofia, in the class of Academician Iliya Petrov and Prof. Dechko Uzunov. Until 1960, he mainly worked as graphics and scenography in the puppet theater in Burgas. His first international recognition was in 1957 at the 6th World Youth Festival in Moscow. Dozens of performances at home and abroad followed, many awards, membership in the SBH honorary member and corresponding member of the Austrian Association of Artists “Künstler Haus”, of the Japanese Association of Artists “Nika-kai”. A difficult moment in his life was 1983 ., when they set fire to his studio and everything burns in the fire. In 1986, Baev became the winner of the Herder Prize of the Vienna Academy of Arts.
