Item description

Iron blade, deeply curved to the inner cutting edge, partly hardened. Distinct T-shaped reverse of the blade. There is a metal “core” betrween the hilt and the cutting part, not typical of the scimitars in our region. The hilt plaques are of black horn and spread out in two “ears” to either side, but narrow and straight – not a characteristic type in the region. The scabbard is missing.
