Item description

For French “Chassepot” rifle. The blade is single-edged, scimitar-like, with a wide fuller on each side, tapering to the point. The guard is of iron, with a bore for the muzzle on one side, the other is curved. The grip is of cast bronze. The scabbard is metal.
