Zdravko Alexandrov (1911 – 1989), “Vitosha”, 1945

Aleksandrov, Zdravko Kanchelov. Born on 10.03.1911, Mokresh village, Montansko – died on 14.12.1998. Graduated from the State Art Academy in 1935. in the class of Prof. Vasil Zahariev. Organized solo exhibitions in Sofia, participated in the Biennale – Venice, in collective exhibitions in Germany and Hungary. Master of landscape painting. In a series of landscapes from the Rhodopes, Pirin, Melnik, Crimea, Bansko, he recreates the beauty of nature. A decorator by training, in his early works he used linear – plastic forms to build the architectonics of the mountain massifs. Later, a more picturesque construction of the landscape takes place. Prominent artist who sought the relationship between man and nature. He died in 1999. in Sofia.
