Biographical data about the author

CHALAKOV, Velislav Iliev Chalakov (18.XII.1903-1987). Born in Shumen. In 1927, he finished sculpture under Prof. Zheko Spiridonov at the Academy of Arts. A longtime educator. Works sculpture and painting. Author of the bust-monument of Stefan Karadzha in Shumen. Member of the Group of Shumen artists. Participates in exhibitions. He has the order “Cyril and Methodius” – Third and Second degrees.
