Kolyo Vitkovski (1925 – 1999), “Dobrudzhan Landscape”, 1970

Kolyo Petkov Vitkovski. Born on June 4, 1925, Streltsi village, died in 1999, Plovdiv. Graphic artist and painter. In 1947, he entered the Prague Art Academy where, after a long break, he graduated with a degree in graphics in 1960. After that, he lived and worked in Plovdiv, he was a member of the group of Plovdiv artists from the “April Generation”. For many years he worked as the director of the Plovdiv Art Gallery. In addition to being a painter and graphic artist, Vitkovski is also a poet and writer.
