Stoilov, Vasil. Born on 29.02.1904, Sofia, died on 13.02.1990, Sofia. In 1922 was admitted to the Art Academy in the painting class of Prof. Tseno Todorov. He graduated from the Academy with honors in 1927. In the same year, he participated in the First OHI with 4 paintings. From 1929 to 1932 he studied, lived and worked in Paris, supporting himself from his paintings. participated in the salon of French artists, organized a solo exhibition. After returning to Bulgaria, he actively participated in artistic life. He died in 1990. in Sofia. Since 1958 is a professor of drawing. He works in all genres of painting – portraits, figurative compositions, domestic scenes, landscapes, scenes from everyday working life. Has a preference for watercolor as a technique.
