Biographical data about the author

HRISTOV, Ivan Dimov Hristov (9.XI.1908-1996). Born in Shumen. In 1933, he graduated from the Art Academy under Prof. D. Gyuzhenov. Teachers in Targovishte, Botevgrad, Popovo, Velingrad, Pazardjik, Stara Zagora and Sofia. Member of “Contemporary Art” society, member of SBH. He participated in OHI, in collective exhibitions, competitions, made two solo exhibitions. He created a series of portraits of prominent political and military figures, educators, revivalists, writers and poets.
