Biographical data about the author

Vasil Valev – Prof. Vasil Valev was born in 1934 in the village of Sigmen, Karnobat municipality. He graduated from “Decorative-monumental painting” under Prof. Georgi Bogdanov in 1959. Since 1964, he regularly participated in the artistic life of the country, as well as in representative Bulgarian exhibitions abroad. Author of monumental works for private and public buildings. Professor of painting at the National Academy of Arts since 1990. In the studio of Professor Valev at the Academy of Arts, many of today’s famous artists have gained knowledge and mastery.
