Tsvetana Kosturkova – Born on August 29, 1914 in Panagyurishte. He graduated in graphics under Prof. Vasil Zahariev and painting under Prof. Nikola Ganushev at the National Academy of Arts in 1939. During his studies, he worked as an artist in the magazine “Housewife and Mother” as well as in the Pridvorna Pechatnitsa in order to support himself. The Academic Council voted to grant her a scholarship to specialize in Italy. In 1940, she became a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, the first woman in Bulgaria to paint banknotes. He also participated in contests for making postage stamps, becoming the author of 24 of them. Died in 2011.
