Biographical data about the author

Valko Gaidarov was born in Devin, Smolyansk on January 27, 1937. He graduated from the Art Academy in Sofia in the class of Prof. Nenko Balkanski. He is also the founder of the Art Gallery in Smolyan, and from 1964 to September 2003 he was the director of the gallery. Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. Participated in national and regional exhibitions in Bulgaria and representative exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, England, Greece, Spain, etc. There are many solo exhibitions. Retired in 2009.
