Biographical data about the author

Nedkova, Vera Todorova. Born on 16.11.1908, Skopje, died on 07.07. 1996 Sofia. Emigrated to Bulgaria after the city fell into Serbia. In 1923, he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Prof. Nikola Marinov. In 1930 he graduated in painting and restoration at the State Academy of Art in Vienna. After graduation, he lives and works in Italy. He settled in Bulgaria in 1934. He became a member of the Society of New Artists and participated in all its exhibitions. From 1946 to 1961, he led a restoration studio for medieval art in the Archaeological Museum in Sofia.
