Biographical data about the author

Nadezhda Filipova Kuteva was born in Sofia in 1946. In 1972 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, majoring in wall painting (decorative-monumental painting). He specialized in the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, USA. He paints still lifes, landscapes, figurative compositions. In recent decades, he researched the Bulgarian folklore heritage and created a series of cycles recreating Bulgarian customs, rites and others. The artist has over 30 solo exhibitions at home and abroad. Nadezhda Kuteva is the daughter of Philip Kutev – composer, creator of the largest Bulgarian folk ensemble, which today bears his name.
