Biographical data about the author

Boneva, Dora Ivanova. Born on 11.04.1936, Gabrovo, died on 23.04.2021, Sofia. In 1959, she graduated from VIII “Nikolai Pavlovich” with a degree in painting in the class of Professor Dechko Uzunov. Works in the field of landscape, composition, still life and portraiture . The style is defined as “expressive” realism”, before 1989 she also painted social realism. Since 1961, Boneva has participated in general art exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. Dora Boneva is the daughter of the violinist Ivan Bonev, a close friend of Petko Stainov. Her wife is of the writer Lubomir Levchev.
