Simeon Halachev (1919 – 1983), “Asparuh crosses the Danube”

Simeon Halachev (1919 – 1983). Born on October 10, 1919 in Tâgovishte. He graduated from the gymnasium in Shymkent, and in 1940 he entered the Orthodox Academy in the capital, studying painting as an artist. Hikola Mapinov. In 1962, he became a teacher at the Academy, and later – a professor at the Department of “Graphics”. Appears in the sphere of illustration and cinema. Creates a series of pictorial and graphic cycles for the Christmas galleries and museums in the building. Paintings and paintings with tropical scenes. In 1975, he was awarded the title “Cv. Cv. Kypil and Methodius”. He died in 1983 in Sofia.
