Biographical data about the author

Rusev, Svetlin Rusev Valchev – born on 14.06.1933, Pleven, died on 26.05.2018, Sofia. Academician Svetlin Rusev Valchev is an artist, public figure, art collector, academician of BAS. He finished painting in 1959 under Prof. Dechko Uzunov. In 1977 he became a professor. Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Artists in the period 1973-1985. From 1985 to 1988 he was the director of the National Art Gallery.
