Biographical data about the author

HRISTOV, Ivan Dimov Hristov (9.XI.1908-1996). Born in Shumen. In 1933, he graduated from the Art Academy under Prof. D. Gyuzhenov. Teachings. Member of “Contemporary Art” society, member of SBH. Participates in OHI, in collective exhibitions, in competitions, has two solo exhibitions. He created a series of portraits of prominent political and military figures, educators, revivalists, writers and poets. Author of the widely popular today’s first civilian portrait of Cyril and Methodius.
