Biographical data about the author

Yaranov, Atanas Dimitrov. Born on 13.07.1940, Sofia – died on 14.08.1988, Sofia. He graduated from the Art Academy in Sofia in 1965, majoring in decorative – monumental painting under Professor Georgi Bogdanov. His works are owned by the National Art Gallery in Sofia and many other museums in the country. He died at the age of 48. A creator with an imposing presence, with a unique monumental style, the allegorical compositions expressing a wide range of emotions.
