Uzunov, Dechko Hristov – born on 22.02.1899, Kazanlak, died on 26.04.1986, Sofia. Student of Chudomir. In 1919, he was accepted as a student at the State Art Industrial School (today the National Academy of Arts) in the class of Prof. Petko Klisurov. When the general training course ended in 1922, Uzunov and his fellow student Ivan Penkov went to Munich to specialize under Prof. Karl von Maar. Upon his return to Bulgaria, he completed his education at the Art Academy in 1924, in the class of Prof. Stefan Ivanov. After 1932, he began teaching painting. He was an extraordinary professor from 1937, and a full professor from 1942 to 1963.
