Petko Abadjiev (1913- 2006), “Paris – Winter”, ca. 1984

Petko Stefanov Abadjiev was born on February 28, 1913, Karlovo. Graduated in 1942 Painting at the Academy of Arts, Sofia, under Prof. Nikola Ganushev. In the first years of his work, he painted landscapes with subjects from Karlovo, some of them under the influence of Nikola Tanev, with whom he was friends. His later works are landscapes from Plovdiv, Vidin, Balchik, Varna, Burgas. He has over 15 solo exhibitions in many cities.
