Petar S. Dochev (1934 – 2005), “Panorama II”, ca. 1984

Petar Stoev Dochev was born on 06.10. 1934 in the village of Lesidren, died in 2005. For some time he worked as an artist in “Kremikovtsi”. He has held more than 30 exhibitions. He won an award from the International Painting Triennale in Sofia in 1996. Through numerous experiments over the years, he made a series of radical changes in his personal style – something very uncharacteristic of the older generation of contemporary Bulgarian painters to which he belongs. For the past 20 years, Petar Dochev has been living and working in his native village of Lesidren.
